About me
Judge Gatlin was born and raised in Cordell, OK. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2004 then went on to Law School at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, earning her J.D. in 2007. During law school, Judge Gatlin worked as a Licensed Intern for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation, she worked as a State’s Attorney for the Department of Human Services- Child Support Division for five years. In 2012, she and her family were given the opportunity to move home to Western Oklahoma. Judge Gatlin joined the District 2 District Attorney’s Office in Custer County in July 2012, quickly coming to specialize in Juvenile Deprived matters, sex crimes, child victim cases and homicides. In 2015, Judge Gatlin took over as the Managing Assistant District Attorney in Washita County where she remained until January 2023. As an ADA, Judge Gatlin acted as a voice for numerous justice-involved children over the years- with a special passion for those who had been abused or neglected. Judge Gatlin took the Bench as Associate District Judge in Washita County on January 9, 2023 and was appointed by the Chief Justice to the Juvenile Justice Oversight and Advisory Committee effective July 1, 2023. Judge Gatlin lives in Cordell, Oklahoma with her husband and 2 teenaged daughters.
