About me
Jaiden Balthrop-Russell is a Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP) Coordinator at the Office of the Oklahoma Attorney General, where she works on statewide training efforts, agency onboarding, and technical support for the implementation of LAP among law enforcement and domestic violence service providers. Her work emphasizes evidence-based interventions to improve victim safety, enhance collaboration, and strengthen systemic responses to domestic violence.
Prior to her current role, Jaiden served as a Grant Programs Specialist with the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council, overseeing federal grants under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP), and Rural Domestic Violence initiatives. In this capacity, she supported grant application development, conducted compliance monitoring, and contributed to Oklahoma’s VAWA State Implementation Plan.
Jaiden is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, where she earned a degree in Management and Social Entrepreneurship. During her time in college, she launched a campus-wide feminine hygiene pantry and successfully codified it into the student body constitution to ensure long-term access and equity for students. She also founded Normalize No, a student-led sexual assault awareness organization that hosted prevention-focused events and partnered with tribal and local victim service providers. As part of this work, she organized and spoke at a campus chapel event featuring a professional panel on domestic and sexual violence in college communities. Her commitment to survivor-centered advocacy and systems-level change continues to shape her work in public service.
